Some people can’t get the best treatment from their doctor because it’s outside the insurance “preference”, or payloads of $$$.
Doctors treat according to what the insurance/pharma will allow. Mental health/Substance abuse are rarely covered at all in a measure to successful clinical outcomes. So, these drugs became band-aids for never ending issues that are typically made worse by altering brain chemistry.
Physicians aren’t practicing medicine anymore. They’re prescribing for a third party profit margin. Their hands are tied in many cases.
